About this event

  • 1 hour

This event is for anyone who owns or rents a home!

We can all save energy and money by altering the way we run and manage our heating systems - even with slight changes. In this session you will pick up some extremely useful tips on how to do this.

Your hosts:

Austin Jacobs is Operations Director at Reading Hydro.

Tony Cowling works on a number of local renewable energy projects and leads the successful DraughtBusters initiative. He is author of Draughtproofing and Insulation: A Practical Guide, which states:

"Many households will be paying 10–15% more than they should on their heating bill because of draughts, and when a lack of insulation is also an issue, that figure goes up. However, many draughts are easily fixed, and for a little outlay a considerable sum can be saved. Insulation can often be installed by the homeowner and lead to a substantial reduction in heating bills."
